AN EXPERIENCE IN FULL NATURE

Is a property recovered from 1576, was quite abandoned until Gerard Sabaté, together with the support of Tin Tin, has been reforming to give shape to a rural accommodation project that is being born in an unbeatable environment.

Located in a farm of 60 hectares in the municipality of Vacarisses, La Frasera is located between the foot of the mountain of Montserrat and the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac. Fact that makes the area an ideal place to do hiking and ride a bike.

It is 38 km from Barcelona and 45 km from Vilanova i la Geltrú. Barcelona-El Prat isthe nearest airport , located 47 km from La Frasera Hotel Rural.

It is a rural hotel with 10 double rooms with magnificent views and complete private bathroom. We also have one familiar apartment fully equipped.

We offer a buffet breakfast with local products and artisanal goat cheeses made in the cheese factory with which we share the farm. We also have other natural products such as the organic vegetable garden, honey and eggs from free-range chickens.

We sell all local products produced in the area or by ourselves, for our customers and the nearby neighbors.

At Frasera we feel committed to the ecological footprint we make, which is why the electricity supply works with solar energy, hot water works with a wood boiler (60kw) and 2 fireplaces, we extract the wood from the forest management of the 60Ha of pine forest that surrounds the farm.

We we substantially reduce energy consumption and we do nature a favor with lower CO2 emissions.

The wood management, we use the logs to heat the house, and we grind the branches into chips with which we cover the paths to prevent erosion and weeding.

Excellent!! Very good place!!! Quiet surrounded by nature. The upstairs room with views of Montserrat!! All renovated, but without losing the essence of the Farmhouse!!! Attention to be a 10!! We will repeat for sure!

The olive trees

In 2014, with a view to making the most of the cultivated fields surrounding the La Frasera farm and putting value on one of the most popular crops in Catalonia, the impulse to plant olive trees arose.

Currently there are about 1000 trees of the Palomar or Olesana variety that we know gives a mature, balanced and semi-fruity oil.

We will be able to verify this in a few years when the crop allows us to make a first pressing.

In the the cheese factory La Frasera they make artisan cheeses with goat's milk in the traditional style, recovering the flavor, texture and aroma of traditional cheeses.
